ActiNOSTM (CFM® Nitro) contains selectively enriched bioactive peptides and proteins from whey that boost intravascular nitric oxide (NO) production. ActiNOSTM was fractionated based on molecular size, and validated for the role of molecular weight fractions in modulating NO production. Both fractions increased NO production in endothelial cells by up to nine times at the concentration levels tested. ActiNOSTM, which contains both low and high molecular weight fractions, exhibited a synergistic effect that boosted NO production from 9.5 to 12.7 times compared to the control.
